Sander's 3rd Birthday

Sander turned 3 on April 24th. He had a busy Birthday weekend with a friend's birthday party on his birthday and Sander's party on the 26th. Sander had 12 of his friends at his party along with their parents. It was a fun time!

Since we had another birthday party to go to on Sander's birthday we just celebrated with a few cupcakes and candles at home.

This was Sander's birthday present - a John Deere Tractor and Trailor

Soo excited!

This is soo much fun!

Dylan wanted a ride too!

Matt worked tirelessly to create a Combine Harvester cake for Sander....his request!

We played one game - Pin the Tire on the Tractor. Every child received a tire with their name on it.

This is after his birthday party - it was like a 2nd Christmas!

I made a "back up" cake in case Matt's Combine Harverster didn't come out as planned

March 2009

Well, I'm a little late with March pictures so I decided to combine some April fun with them. The highlight for March was a visit to Grandmom Ruth's house in Roswell. Everyone had a great time! For April, Zoe came to visit and we had a busy week. We took Sander and Zoe to the Houston Art Festival, the Houston Zoo-bilee and we celebrated an early Easter by dying eggs. Sander and Zoe had a blast together! Also, we finally landscaped our front yard - woohoo!

More Easter egg fun!

Sander LOVED Zoe reading to him!

The Houston Zoo hosted it's annual Zoobilee when Zoe was here. We were able to visit the Zoo after hours and the kids each received a "passport" that they had stamped along our tour of the Zoo.

We took Sander and Zoe to the Houston Art Festival. It was great experience and the kids were able to make their own art projects.

Sander chose not to decorate his car though

Just some fun sculptures at the Festival

We discovered Zoe has an incredible arm for softball on this last visit as she hit every ball out of our yard and across multiple yards!

YEAH! We had our front yard landscaped!

More front yard fun

Of course Sander had to add his own garden ornament - a loader :)

Sander is still showing a huge interest in music although this may not be his shining moment!

Much better!

Well, a bit out of order but more Easter egg dying fun

A rainy day but we still went out to play!

Sander has a ton of fun putting paint on his cars and making tire tracks on paper. A budding artist :)

February 2009

February was a busy month. Grandma and Grandpa Denault visited while Matt and I got away for a few days to Colorado. Also, Pop Ed and Mama Sallie came to visit for a few days. We celebrated Kyle's 14th Birthday while Zoe turned 8! And, Sander celebrated Go Texan Day :)

January 2009

Happy 2009! We had a great start to the New Year. Some highlights of the month were Matt and I running the Half Marathon and my birthday weekend! Otherwise we took the month to catch up and reorganize for the new year.

Our friends the Farrell's came for a surprise visit on my birthday. Sean made an amazing birthday cake that we all indulged in!

Matt and another husband planned a super fun night out to celebrate my birthday and my girlfriend's birthday as they are just a few days apart. We had an amazing dinner and then we went to a surprise party at a local wine bar. Another friend has a birthday at the same time and she came to the party as well. Here we are celebrating!

Here are the husband's of the birthday girl trio

After the Half Marathon we went to a local pub for a beer to celebrate. Very family-orientated place as there were several other parents celebrating with their young children :)

Here we are with our finisher medals - woohoo!

Our neighbor gave us the box from his new grill for Sander to play in. He's still enjoying it after 3 weeks! Luckily it hasn't rained yet :)
