November 2010

November was a busy travel month for us. Early in the month we headed to Boston. Matt had a business trip so Sander and I tagged along for a long weekend of sightseeing. Grandma and Grandpa met us there and we had a great time. Then for Thanksgiving we headed back to the Northeast to spend the Holiday with my family.

Here's Sander on a Water Taxi we took across the Boston Bay to Charlestown. It was a COLD ride!

Sander and Daddy on the USS Constitution in Charlestown.

Mommy and Sander on the Water Taxi. The quick stop at Starbucks for some Hot Tea kept me outside - without it I would've been down below!

More Water Taxi fun - notice Matt's Hot Coffee ;)

More Duck Tour driving. Watch out!

The USS Constitution. If you notice, Sander and Matt are in the picture at the bottom. Sander with the blue hat.

Sander was a LEGO for Halloween this year. It was a fun costume to make!

Ready for trick-or-treating!

Which way to do I go?

Did I fail to mention that we were ALL LEGOs for Halloween. Sander picked out all of our colors.

Matt tried to have some fun in his costume acting as a robot!

The happy LEGO couple.

We went to Dewberry Farms just outside of Houston to pick pumpkins. Here's Sander waiting patiently for the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch.

Here we are getting ready to take on the Corn Maze.

Always happiest on a John Deere :)

Cedar Park Marching Band 2010

Here are some pictures from one of Evan and Kyle's many competitions this year. Their performance was amazing!

The picture above shows the Tenors what Evan plays. He is the 2nd Tenor in from the right.

Here is Kyle - praying :)

Kyle again.

You can see Kyle all the way to the left. Holding the largest bass drum.

Annnd Kyle again on the left :) He's easy to spot!

A nice back shot of Evan - sorry Evan! Nice posture though :)

Align CenterHere are the tenors again. Evan is the second from the right.

Here's the entire Cedar Park Drum Line.

And, here's the band making their entrance.

Atlantic Beach

We went to visit Pop Ed and Mama Sallie in Florida and had a great time. Sander loved being on the beach every day and riding in Pop Ed's Jeep!

This was Sander's creation on our last morning on the beach.

We had lunch at a great fresh seafood place where you could watch the fishing boats come in and go out. Sander really liked this one.

We went to dinner at an Italian restaurant one night where Sander made his own pizza! This is the first of 3 pictures...getting the dough ready.

Next stretching the dough...

Then the toss!

More fishing boat fun.

This was in front of our hotel.

Sander playing with his cousin Lorelai who is just a year younger than Sander.

Just relaxing on the beach!

Sander took home his class "pet" George for a weekend. We took pictures of what he did with George throughout the weekend. Here he is getting ready for tennis lessons.

Coming back from the pool where daddy got him an ice cream sandwich :)

Notice the book that Sander is sleeping with - the guide to the World Cup! He made Matt go through all the countries by flag every night :)

This was Sander's first day of Pre-K. Yes. We all agree he needs school - bag around the neck not such a good idea ;)

Sander has become a pretty crazy Lego builder. Here he is with a castly that daddy "helped" him build. Sander wants to send this picture into the Lego magazine!

Sander and Alexa again in NY waiting to board the Rip Van Winkle boat for a ride down the Hudson River

And, here is our Mr. Fix It :)

Sander started playing soccer in September on the West University Recreational League. Believe it or not, there are more than 30 teams in the Under 5 division! He's really having fun and we're so proud of him. Here is a sequence of how he stole the ball in the 2nd game and took it down the field for a goal (1 of 6 for the game!).

This is at our house before Game 1. Gotta love the "game" face ;)

Here is where he steals the ball and notice the arms out to make sure no one takes it back - ha!

He's taking off with it now...

Now at center field - still running with it

His first opponent...

Sander stays with it though. There were a few pushes and shoves along the way though

A struggle at the goal

Annnd, he's got it!
