Sander took home his class "pet" George for a weekend. We took pictures of what he did with George throughout the weekend. Here he is getting ready for tennis lessons.

Coming back from the pool where daddy got him an ice cream sandwich :)

Notice the book that Sander is sleeping with - the guide to the World Cup! He made Matt go through all the countries by flag every night :)

This was Sander's first day of Pre-K. Yes. We all agree he needs school - bag around the neck not such a good idea ;)

Sander has become a pretty crazy Lego builder. Here he is with a castly that daddy "helped" him build. Sander wants to send this picture into the Lego magazine!

And, here is our Mr. Fix It :)

Sander started playing soccer in September on the West University Recreational League. Believe it or not, there are more than 30 teams in the Under 5 division! He's really having fun and we're so proud of him. Here is a sequence of how he stole the ball in the 2nd game and took it down the field for a goal (1 of 6 for the game!).

This is at our house before Game 1. Gotta love the "game" face ;)

Here is where he steals the ball and notice the arms out to make sure no one takes it back - ha!

He's taking off with it now...

Now at center field - still running with it

His first opponent...

Sander stays with it though. There were a few pushes and shoves along the way though

A struggle at the goal

Annnd, he's got it!

In June we went to Port Aransas, for our third summer in a row. Again, everyone had a great time! The pictures are a bit fuzzy...had to be due to the 100% humidity!!

I don't know why they are posing like this but they seemed to think it was fun. Unfortunately I got a bit sandy ;)

Again, Sander isn't far from Zoe. His favorite place to be! You can see how thrilled Zoe is :)

We rented this golf cart for the week. We will be doing it again. All the kids had a GREAT time with it. Evan spent 80% of his vacation being chafeur though...

Zoe enjoyed trying out the skim board!

Wow! We actually had a quiet second to pose for a picture!

Best Buddies.

Best Buddies 2

There were lots of sports played throughout the week.

Sander and Matt dug the hole...Sander got bored. I guess daddy did too and had to take a break.

Sander boogie boarding...he loved it!

Sander's 4th Birthday

Sander wanted a dinosaur theme for his birthday so we had the party at the Houston Museum of Science with a private tour of the dinosaur exhibit followed by some animal petting (all reptiles of course!). Here are a few pictures....

Sander doens't like when people sing happy birthday - to him - or anyone. So, he's covering his hears while we sing.

This is Sander at school the day before his birthday celebrating with dinosaur decorated cupcakes.

Lovin' the cake

We made two cakes. This is Matt's creation - "The Dino Fight" with a tar pit, blood and all!

This was a combined effort. It's made of 8 homemade cakes, rice krispy treats for the head, feet and tail and lots of frosting! We weren't sure if how edible or cuttable it would be so Matt made the 2nd cake. It ended up fine for the party!

Waiting to blow out the candles

Checking out the dino bones

Flying like Teradactyls - Sander is in front

The reaction after petting a slimy lizard!

Just hiding behind mommy to avoid another picture

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for Sander's birthday. Here they are before his party. He chose to wear his dinosaur costume there :)

Random Fun

Here are some random pictures from the last few months. Nothing special but fun!

We took Sander to a Houston Dynamo soccer match. This was before we went to the game. Matt took him to the local soccer shop that morning and bought him is attire. We have season tickets so there will be many more game pics to come!

Getting ready to go to the game.

Sander LOVES building LEGOS. This is one of his creations. He wants me to send this picture to his LEGO magazine since they feature kids' LEGO creations every month!

Our Rocker Child

We went to the Houston Rodeo in March. The goats were a little wild. I think this one almost got Sander's finger.

Just another day on the farm...

How do I look?

Wonder if I can get out of here before he sees me?

We're not sure what he is supposed to be but Evan and Kyle liked him.

In Texas you celebrate Texan Day in February. Sander was a little cowboy for the day - hat, cowboy shirt, jeans and boots!
